The two week studio-based design workshop will explore the Maison Dom-ino diagram in order to elicit critical design strategies (spatial and material) and to project new housing models.
The course will be structured along the following basic points:
1. Critical approach: Workshop will critically approach how to manage the tenuous conditions between the diagrammatic and the translation into material organisations.
2. Making / Design techniques: A range of design techniques (indexical, emergent, and parametric based) will be introduced to students that aim to give new methods of making and designing.
3. Software tools: Introduction of digital modeling tools: Rhino and grasshopper, etc.
